South Nemba Restoration Project (SNRP) - A success within a success!

DII Angola completed the SNRP Project safely and on schedule on the South Nemba “A” Platform in Angola. DII was working for Chevron - FE Houston to repair the fire damage, restore structural, piping and electrical systems, install a new turbine and compressor that was destroyed during a fire (not related to DII’s activities) on the platform in May 2010 while DII was completing the South Nemba HPCI Brownfield Project.

Modules for Vale’s Long Harbour nickel processing plant in eastern Canada

DII has been awarded a contract to fabricate Equipment and Building Modules for Vale’s Nickel Processing plant which is located in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. The project is being performed in our West Yard at the Port of Iberia. The scope consists of 13 Equipment modules, 2 Piping modules, and 6 Building modules. The module weights vary from 50 tons to 1100 tons. Steel for this project is received via ships from England at our Lake Charles facility due to our deep water access there. The project is expected to be completed 1Q 2012.

Offshore Brownfield Project for Vaalco Gabon

DII successfully completed a turnkey brownfield construction project for Vaalco offshore Gabon. The project consisted of fabrication and installation of seven deck extensions on two platforms offshore Gabon for VAALCO Gabon (Etame) Inc. The fabrication was performed at our New Iberia yard, and the installation was performed utilizing the Gulmar Condor.

Offshore Brownfield project for BHP Billiton Trinidad

DII completed the Angostura Gas Project which consisted of hook up and commissioning support for a new gas export platform and installation and hook up of equipment on existing platform to upgrade to gas sales. The project required 140 mechanical and structural work packs and 57 lifting plans. DII provided the skilled crew and all construction equipment for this $40 MM project.

DII providing construction services in Marcellus Shale Operation

DII is working for Stone Energy in their Marcellus Shale Operations, providing crafts personnel for the hookup of wells, flow lines and other scope. To support this work for Stone and other operators, DII is constructing a fabrication shop in Morgantown, West Virginia.
