We continually raise the bar for SH&E and instill ownership and accountability at all DII sites through Continuous Improvement efforts. DII also maintains interconnected audit and assessment systems which also promote Continuous Improvement.
As far as implementation and SH&E education, DII offers a comprehensive New Employee Orientation and SH&E Training System. Additionally, a comprehensive, task-specific Job Safety and Environmental Analysis is conducted at all sites. For example, our East Yard was recently nominated for the Department of Labor’s Pre-Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) Award – one of only nine Louisiana companies to be nominated.
