Description: The qualified candidate must be competent in hazard identification, fire & gas detection, prevention, monitoring and all provisions of the Welding, Burning & Hot Work Safe Practices Plan.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Capable of providing safety support to the Project Supervisor regarding gas detection and hot work.
- Will be responsible for roving firewatch coverage of assigned work areas under the leadership of Fieldwood Project Supervisor. Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months – 1 year previous offshore experienced.
- Must be proficient in field-level application of Gas Detection and Fire Prevention principles.
- Must have ability to identify hazards associated with typical platform hot work conditions and recommend mitigating solutions.
- Must be proficient in utilizing and executing Permit Policy and Procedures.
- Must be able to work in an offshore field environment and work a rotating schedule.
- Prior offshore oilfield experience specific to Gas Detection and Fire Prevention is mandatory.
- Possess understanding of various fire watch roles within different disciplines of activity.
